Is there an age requirement for volunteers? Can my child volunteer? Can my youth group volunteer?
Young volunteers are welcome to join us. High school age youth can likely volunteer without their parent/adult. And it is a great way to earn volunteer hours for certain high school courses. Youth age 10-14 should have their parent/adult join them when they come to volunteer. Kids younger than 10 usually lack the skills to volunteer.

How do the kits get to these distant parts of the world?
Instead of paying expensive shipping costs, we send the completed kits in a duffel bag with a willing volunteer who is already traveling to the area. The duffel becomes part of their luggage and is simply put with all other luggage within the plane. Sometimes the duffel bag goes with a former refugee from that area who is traveling back to visit family. Sometimes it goes with a student volunteer or with a clergy who travels to the area to serve missions. This way we can ship lots of kits at once for virtually no shipping costs!
