We need your help to collect reusable bags for Kenya!

The resealable bag is a key component of our kits.  This is a recent change in Kenya and we are not equipped to accommodate this need.

​

Please help us reach out goal of 200 bags.

ITEMS YOU CAN DONATE:

​

  • new washcloths in any color*

  • new 100% cotton girls briefs in any color (sizes 10/12/14/16)*

  • travel size bars of soap

  • thread in any color

  • 100% cotton quilters fabric, including remnants, in any color*

  • 100% cotton flannel fabric, including remnants, in any color*

  • Ziploc freezer bags, gallon size (no slider closures please)

*PLEASE NOTE:  We cannot accept washcloths, briefs or fabric that has any animal/insect print, any words or writing, or any images of people.

 

Bright colors and geometric patterns are welcomed and encouraged in order to make the items pretty and appealing to the girls who receive our kits! 

DONATE FUNDS THROUGH ZELLE*

We can now accept direct donations through your bank if they use Zelle for money transfers. It is a bank-to-bank transfer, which is more secure than separate money transfer sites like Paypal.

We do not receive your account information.

This comes directly from your bank account, to our bank. Please use the following steps to donate:

 

  1. Verify your bank uses Zelle (click here to go to Zelle site)

  2. Go to your bank online and log in

  3. In the list of tasks, select Move Money (or Pay Someone Else, some similar title), then Send Money with Zelle

  4. Add a new contact

First name:  Mariamante 

Last name:  Academy

5. It will ask you to verify Mariamante Academy Inc. Press continue.

6. Enter the dollar amount you wish to donate. Press Review

7. On the “Reason” line, please type Mariamante Sewing Circle.

Then press Send. You will get a confirmation when complete, usually under 1 minute.

 

If you are unclear with these instructions, ask for help at your bank.

 

Any donations will be used to purchase sewing supplies: PUL, material, ribbon, and any items needed to fill the kits: washcloths, underwear, soaps and plastic or silicone bags.
