Here at Mariamante Sewing Circle, we create reusable products for these young girls to have a permanent solution to this problem. Those schools that have received these kits report girls' absences significantly decline.

Through volunteers sewing and assembling the items, we are making a difference as we provide these most basic items. Keeping girls in school and active in their communities can improve their lives and the lives of future girls in these areas.

Mariamante Sewing Circle is a group of volunteers in the Fredericksburg area who come together to create feminine hygiene kits for school age girls in other parts of the world.
Due to lack of resources in many countries, young girls either miss several days of school each month or drop out altogether, simply because they lack the basic needed hygiene items. Imagine them trying to use leaves, rags, feathers or mattress stuffing. Together, we can change these dire circumstances.
